The Minister for Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs, Heather Humphreys, TD, has made up to €120,000 available to Marsh’s Library for an immediate programme of urgent and necessary repairs and capital works in the library. These will be completed before the end of 2016.
We hope visitors will forgive the fact that we will be closed quite a bit over the coming weeks as we safeguard the building for the future.
The first of these all-day closures to the public will take place on Thursday 24th November until Tuesday 6 December. We will reopen Wednesday 7 December at 9.30am.
Subject to the availability of funding, Minister Heather Humphreys, TD, has indicated that the Department hopes to provide further funding for capital works in 2017 and 2018.
