Sketching Week Results

Artists were invited to come and draw the interior of the library as part of the Bealtaine Festival 2016,  at the same time linking with the sketches of Estella Solomons which conclude our current 1916 exhibition.

Many thanks to all those who came and drew!  A tricky subject matter, we think you’ll all agree, but we have been left, very kindly, with some terrific results (see below).

It was lovely to see our artists sitting and sketching with quiet concentration and we would be happy to welcome them back at any time and extend the invite to anyone, at any time of the year to come and do the same.  We look forward to welcoming you with sketchbook and pencil in hand.
