Digitisation at Marsh’s Library
Marsh’s Library is an important repository of a shared European cultural heritage and a wider history of human thought and experience. It houses rare items from across Europe in the years between 1500 and 1750, and very many of them are unique. They survive in only one copy in the world: ours.
An ongoing digitisation project aims to enhance preservation of the content of the collections, and to bring this unique heritage to a wider audience through a range of online exhibitions and catalogue enrichments.
The Library gratefully acknowledges the continuing support of the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media.
