James Gibson, A Journal of the Late Siege By The Troops From North America, Against The French At Cape Breton (London, 1745).

John Gibson's account of the siege of Louisbourg in Nova Scotia, Canada during King's George's War (1744-8) shows the hospital, the military batteries, and the central fort. Multiple naval ships are depicted on the St. Lawrence River.
