Maddock Research Fellowships, 2019-20

Call for applications now closed

Marsh’s Library is located in the heart of Dublin beside St Patrick’s Cathedral. It houses a significant collection of 20,000 early modern Irish, British and continental European books and pamphlets, as well as a range of manuscripts.

In 2008, the donation by the Guinness family of the library of Benjamin, 3rd Earl of Iveagh added significantly to the breadth and depth of our collections. Our Benjamin Iveagh Library, housed at Farmleigh in the Phoenix Park, is exceptionally strong on eighteenth-century books and fine bindings, as well as Irish modernist literature.

The entire collection can be explored at www.marshlibrary.ie/catalogue

Applications closed at 5.00 pm (Irish time) on Friday, 26 July 2019.

Notification of results

Applicants will be notified of the results of the competition on Friday 23 August 2019.
