Heritage Week 2017 – Nature

Heritage Week is here!It runs from Saturday 19th August and the theme this year is ‘It’s in your nature‘.

We are once again welcoming everyone to Ireland’s first public library, with a few (maybe amusing) Marsh’s human nature stories, concluding in Marsh’s garden, where you can appreciate the nature hidden away from public view.  Short tours of the library and hidden garden take place twice daily at 3pm & 4pm (closed Tues & Sun).

Mini-figures finding a hiding place!
All entrance fees are reduced to €1 for adults/concessions and children are free as usual. If you do not want to take part in the tour, visitors can come at their own leisure during the week and see our ‘Hunting Stolen Books’ exhibition. Children can hunt a book thief and other historical figures recreated in LEGO® mini-figure form and try other LEGO® activities.

This year we will take part in the Wild Child Day on Wednesday 23rd and open up the garden with fun nature inspired activities for children 12 years and under, please see click here for more details.
