Interested in volunteering at Marsh’s Library?

Marsh’s Library is looking to recruit a number of part-time volunteers to help with tourist visitors in 2016. Applicants should enjoy meeting people, and be outgoing, enthusiastic and articulate. A second language would be a distinct advantage.

Duties will include greeting visitors, giving tours and working with the security staff to ensure the safety of the books and the building. Full training will be provided.

This is a role in tourism and applicants will not be working directly with the collection of books and manuscripts. You will, however, get to work in one of the most unusual public spaces in Dublin. We can stretch to very fetching fleece jackets with Marsh’s logo on them, for the fashionistas among you.

Here are some time slots we are particularly interested in filling: Monday 10-2, 11-3; Wednesday 11-3; Thursday 10-2,11-3, and 1-5; Friday 11-3; and Saturday 11-3. We’ll be very grateful for any help you may be able to provide.
