Lifelong Learning at Marsh’s Library
We have teamed up with UCD’s Department of Access and Lifelong Learning to offer an exciting autumn seminar on ‘The Print Revolution in Europe, 1450-1750’.
We begin with the invention of printing with moveable type and trace the influence of this ‘Print Revolution’ over three centuries across Europe. What part did books and printing play in the great transformations of this period, beginning with the Reformation and ending with the Enlightenment?
A unique feature of the eight-week course is that we will examine rare original books from the collections of Marsh’s Library which illustrate the themes of each class.
Please note: This class takes place in Marsh’s Library. There is no online access.
