An Taoiseach and Dr Merkel in our Benjamin Iveagh Library

An Taoiseach, Leo Varadkar, welcomed the German Chancellor Dr Merkel to Farmleigh House in Dublin on 4 April. They took a break from discussions of Brexit to enjoy our Benjamin Iveagh Library (pictured).

Given the weighty choices they face, a line from Shakespeare’s Titus Andronicus springs to mind:  “Come and take choice of all my library and so beguile thy sorrow” (Act IV, Scene 1).
