Presenting our (new and improved) shelving!

Replacing an unsuitable cupboard with safe, archival-quality storage facilities.

We had quite an exciting day here at Marsh’s Library, when we finally unveiled our brand new – and beautifully shiny – storage and shelving!

We were finally able to move our manuscripts and rarest books from the unsuitable cupboard where they have been stored for decades, into a safe space with archival-quality shelving and storage facilities.

Before: a cramped, damp press against a north-facing wall with an external gutter.

After: sleek, clean, safe, and adjustable shelves in an alarmed room.

Truly, this is a librarian’s dream.  Sigh.
