Science Week 14th-18th November Projectiles & Forces

The theme for Science Week this year is ‘Science Rising as a remembrance of the 1916 events, how science has evolved over the last century and how it continues to develop, especially in the outstanding work from students in the Young Scientists Project.

As we have our bullet books from the Easter Rising on display in the library, this lends itself perfectly to the subject of forces and how objects travel and project through the air.

We would like to invite 4th &  5th classes to come along to the library, to make simple crafts with simple materials that fly through the air, identify where the forces occur and try to improve and exceed the distances they travel, using the library galleries as their runway & landing strip!

May the forces be with us…
