Treasured heritage

From an eighteenth-century map in our collections

Marsh’s Library holds a rich collection of maps
from the eighteenth century and earlier.

Visit the library and see the maps of Transylvania viewed by Bram Stoker during his visits as a young man in 1866.

The library is located on St Patrick’s Close,  just beside St Patrick’s Cathedral in Dublin. Most Dublin tours pass right by our door, and we are only a 10 or 15 minute stroll from Grafton Street.

Opening Hours

The library is normally open to the public every day except Tuesday and Sunday.

Our normal weekday opening hours (except Tuesday) are: 9:30 am to 5.00 pm.

Saturdays: 10.00 am to 5.00 pm.
