School groups and other groups of young people under 18 are admitted free of charge.
Younger groups of children can be given a brief tour by staff, and there are always fun activities for them to try, or you may wish to organise something more specific with our Education Officer.
Groups of children are asked to book in advance, by email or by phone (+353 1 4543511).
We are happy to provide tours of the library for adults for the normal admission fee of €5 (concessions €3) per person. The maximum number of people in a group at any one time is 30, and if your group is larger than this we will divide it into smaller groups. Please book in advance by email or by phone (+353 1 4543511). We encourage all groups to pay by cash, cheque or card on the door, but if you wish to pay in advance by credit card you will need to use the PayPal link at the bottom of this page, at a surcharge of 10%.
Customised tours, including the viewing of rare material, can be provided by special arrangement for an additional fee. For these specialised tours, please contact us by email or by phone (+353 1 4543511) to discuss your particular interests and requests.
Commercial language schools which charge fees to school or college students do not qualify for free entry. Instead, they are charged at €3 per student (€3.30 per student if paying by PayPal in advance).
Some commercial language schools and other institutions prefer to pay by voucher on the door, but please note that there is an administration fee of €25 for the issuing of an invoice. We encourage all groups to pay on the door by cash, cheque or card.
Credit card payment in advance can only be made through PayPal (see below), with a surcharge of 10% on our normal admission charge. Please use the button below to book: you will be taken to the PayPal site where you can choose the number of admissions to book. Please also let us know when you would like to visit (contact us by email or by phone on +353 1 4543511), and bring proof of payment with you on the day.
